The Pharmaceutical Industry of Turkey
After the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in 1984, Turkish Pharmaceuticals Industry, which increased its technological development by making necessary investments, today reached a technological level, which can almost be compared to European Union countries except in biotechnology and a few brand new pharmaceuticals production technologies.
Today, there are approximately 300 entities operating in Turkey. Among 42 manufacturing facilities in Turkey, 14 of them are multinational firms.
